This page explains what information the mibilet website uses and why. It describes how the website works; it is not legal advice. We try to collect as little as possible: you can search and compare prices without creating an account.

Cookies we use

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. mibilet uses them for the following purposes:

  • Language and currency. When you choose a language or currency, we save your choice so the site shows the same settings on your next visit.
  • Departure city. To prefill the search form, the site may detect your approximate city from your IP address using a geolocation service. The detected city is stored in a cookie so the lookup does not need to be repeated. You can always change the departure city manually.
  • Partner referral code. If you arrive at mibilet through a partner link, a cookie may store the referral code so the visit can be attributed correctly.
  • Administrator session. A session cookie is used only for site administrators who log in to the management area. Regular visitors do not receive it.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as remembering your language, may then not work as expected.

Data stored only in your browser

Your favourites, saved searches and routes built in the trip planner are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your device. This information is not sent to our servers. It stays on that device and browser, and it is removed if you clear your browser data.

Searches and partner links

To show prices, the site requests data from our partners using the search details you enter, such as cities and dates. When you click an offer, a hotel or a car rental link, you are redirected to the partner's website. Each partner processes data under their own privacy policies, which we recommend reading. Any personal information you provide while booking, such as names, passport details or payment data, is entered on the partner's site and is not received by mibilet.

Analytics

The site owner may enable a web analytics tool to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited most often. If analytics is enabled, it collects general usage information and may use its own cookies under the provider's privacy policy.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and requested pages, to keep the site secure and working.

Emails

If you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you and handle your request.
