Suvarnabhumi Airport (IATA code BKK) is the main international airport of Thailand and serves Bangkok, the country's capital. It opened in 2006 and is located in Samut Prakan province, east of the city centre. The name, pronounced roughly "su-wan-na-poom", means "golden land".

The airport is the main hub of Thai Airways and one of the largest air transport hubs in Southeast Asia.
